Optic Nerve donates 300 pairs of sunglasses towards a free eye exam project in Hawaii

This project provided free eye exams to the residents of the largest public housing project in
Hawaii. These residents are almost all recently-arrived immigrants
from Micronesia, Samoa, and the Philippines and are desperately poor.

"I wanted to thank you for your donation of sunglasses. We recently
held our eye screenings for the residents of Kuhio Park Terrace,
Hawaii's largest public housing project. It was a great success,
with over 300 free eye exams performed. Many of the people who
visited us had never seen an eye doctor and we were able to plug
them into the eyecare network.
Mountain Shades sunglasses were a big hit! We gave a free pair to
every participant and they were a huge draw. Thank you so much for
your generosity!"
